How to Make Wooden Teak Bed
Building your own wooden teak bed base for an average-sized bed instead of buying one in a store will save you money. Bed bases or frames raise mattresses 6 or 8 inches from the floor so they are at a more comfortable level when people lie down and get up. Cut the pieces for the base of your bed. Cut two 6 foot x 9-inch pieces from the 2 x 4-inch boards (5.08 x 10.16 cm) with the circular saw to make part of the frame.
Cut four pieces of 4 feet x 9 inches from the 2 x 4 inch boards. Cut the four pieces of 6 feet x 4 x 4 inches in half to make the legs that will be the frame support. Cut the wooden teak bed neatly and turn it into a piece of 5 x 6 feet x 9 inches, which will be the top part of the frame. Sand all the edges of the pieces you have cut. Apply ink or paint to wood and let it dry.
Make teak bed, find a solid surface and place the two 6 foot x 9-inch pieces on the edge, parallel to each other, with a separation of 5 feet. Complete one rectangle by placing the two pieces of 4 feet x 9 inches between the other two. Place 3 2 1/2 inch screws through the ends of each of the long pieces and attach them to the shorter pieces.
